Thomas Björklöf

Thomas is a 11th generation farmer from the Finnish South coast, where he manages and operates an arable farm growing cereals, OSR and sugar beets. Over the past years, their farm management has focused on increasing yields by taking care of the soil with cover crops, intermediate crops as well as through well thought out crop rotations. With the farm being situated close to the Baltic Sea, the farm management has looked closely at implementing water efficient and precision farming practises to prevent pollution of the water bodies.

When asked how he would describe his farm, Thomas answers: “A type of light conservation agriculture, focussed on farming grains, while always exploring something new.”
