Anna Krzywoszynska is an Associate Professor in Transdisciplinary Human-Environment Relations at the University of Oulu, Finland, with a background in human geography and science and technology studies. Her research focuses on transforming knowledge-cultures to strengthen sustainable and just human-environment relationships, particularly in the context of the Anthropocene. She investigates the politics and ethics of agri-environmental knowledge, with a specific emphasis on soils, soil microbes, and alternative food systems such as organic and regenerative agriculture.

Dr. Krzywoszynska has contributed significantly to the growing field of soil humanities and has published widely in science and technology studies, environmental humanities, and human geography. She is involved in several influential initiatives, including the Horizon Europe Mission Soil Deal for Europe and the International Union of Soil Science.
