Sophie WIlson

Farm Veterinarian & Farmer

Sophie Wilson is both a practising farm vet and an active farmer, with a deep interest in the role of livestock within agroecological and regenerative systems. Raised on her family’s farm, she studied Biological Sciences at Oxford University before spending three years with FAI Farms, focusing on sustainability and knowledge transfer across agricultural supply chains.

Qualifying as a vet in 2019, Sophie went on to help establish CW Farm Vets, where she works closely with organic and low-input farms. Her key areas of expertise include block calving, grazing management, animal health planning, and outwintering systems.

Alongside her clinical work, Sophie farms in partnership with her husband and parents. Together they run two dairy units, alongside sheep, pigs, and a small arable rotation — bringing together practical farming, veterinary insight, and a systems-based approach to resilient livestock production.
