Ott Läänemets

Ott Läänemets manages and develops his family’s multi-generation farming enterprises in Avispea, Lääne-Viru County, Estonia. The main production areas include cereal crops (with a strong focus on seed multiplication) and dairy farming.

Trained as an economist, a livestock farmer by circumstance, and a crop grower at heart, Ott brings a systems-level perspective to farm management. His work focuses on applying regenerative agriculture practices in large-scale production, with economic viability as a central priority. Changes have been introduced carefully and step by step, balancing innovation with risk management.

Ott is also the founder of Viru Seeme, a seed company offering a wide range of crop seeds to farmers, including cover crops and diverse cover crop mixtures.
