Endla Reintam

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and a Professor in Soil Ecology at the Estonian University of Life Sciences.

As Vice-Rector, she oversees the organization of studies, lifelong learning programs, and the university’s engagement in international academic networks. With more than 30 years of experience, she has significantly contributed to teaching, fundamental, and applied research in soil science.

Her expertise spans a wide range of topics, including basic soil science, soil classification, international classification systems, soil quality, and soil physical-mechanical properties, hydrological properties, and soil structure as affected by soil management. Notably, she is engaged in groundbreaking research on microplastics in soils as part of the MINAGRIS project. Beyond her academic and research endeavors, Endla actively participates in science-to-society initiatives, bridging the gap between scientific knowledge and practical applications.
